About the Teacher

Hi!  My name is Deborah Pratt.  I’m also known by my students as “Miss Deb”.  Music4Kids is the name of my music studio which is located at 141 NW C Street, Suite F in Grants Pass.  The building is located at the corner of C and 5th Streets.  We are on the second floor.  Enter in by the side door (on the left side as you face the front of the building).  We are open and offering Kindermusik classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  Schedule a Preview Class.

My life passion is to help children to learn to love music and to read and understand music so that they become successful music makers.  Music is a wonderful and rewarding recreational pursuit that brings so much joy to life!  Singing and playing music helps us through difficult times and enables us to share our feelings of happiness during the best of times.

I also know from experience and from a growing volume of research that music profoundly and positively impacts the quality of life for all who participate actively in it, from the youngest to the oldest.

Come discover how much fun we can have making music together!”

Deborah earned a Master of Arts in Music Education from the University of Iowa and holds an Oregon Teaching Certificate with endorsements in Music K-12 and Elementary Education.  In addition to teaching at Music4Kids, Deb directs the Rogue Chorus, a community chorus open to singers ages 14 and older which meets on the campus of Rogue Community College in Grants Pass.  She is also a substitute teacher for all subjects K-12 in the Grants Pass and Three Rivers school districts.
